ॐ जय सरस्वती माता, मैया जय सरस्वती माता।
सद्गुण वैभव शालिनी, त्रिभुवन विख्याता॥
Transliteration
Om Jai Saraswati Mata, Maiya Jai Saraswati Mata
Sadgun vaibhav shaalini, tribhuvan vikhyaata
Meaning
Victory to Mother Saraswati — adorned with virtue and splendour, renowned through the three worlds.

देवनागरी
चन्द्रवदनी पद्मासिनी, द्युति मंगलकारी।
सोहे शुभ हंस सवारी, अतुल तेजधारी॥
Transliteration
Chandravadani padmaasini, dyuti mangalkaari
Sohe shubh hans savaari, atul tejdhaari
Meaning
Moon-faced, seated upon the lotus, your radiance brings every blessing. The auspicious swan is your mount; you bear unmatched lustre.

देवनागरी
बाएँ कर में वीणा, दाएँ कर में माला।
शीश मुकुट मणि सोहे, गल मोतियन माला॥
Transliteration
Baayein kar mein veena, daayein kar mein maala
Sheesh mukut mani sohe, gal motiyan maala
Meaning
In your left hand the veena, in your right the rosary. A jewelled crown gleams on your head, a pearl garland upon your neck.

देवनागरी
देवी शरण जो आए, उनका उद्धार किया।
पैठि मन्थरा दासी, रावण-संहार किया॥
Transliteration
Devi sharan jo aaye, unka uddhar kiya
Paithi Mantharaa daasi, Ravan-sanhar kiya
Meaning
Whoever takes refuge in you is uplifted. Entering even the maidservant Manthara, you brought about the destruction of Ravana.

देवनागरी
विद्या ज्ञान प्रदायिनी, ज्ञान प्रकाश भरो।
मोह अज्ञान तिमिर का, जग से नाश करो॥
Transliteration
Vidya gyaan pradaayini, gyaan prakaash bharo
Moh agyaan timir ka, jag se naash karo
Meaning
Bestower of learning and wisdom — fill the world with the light of knowledge, and destroy the darkness of attachment and ignorance.
