योग · the sun–moon relationship, colouring the day's quality.
करण · half of a tithi; there are 11 karanas in rotation.
मास · the Hindu lunar month (Chaitra → Phalguna), named for the nakshatra of that month's full moon.
संवत् · the Hindu year. Vikrami is the most-used era in north India; Shaka is the official era of the Indian National Calendar.
