Kaashee pur ke tum swaamee
Rakshaa karte antaryaamee

श्वान सवारी चढ़त सुहाने।
लाल भुजा त्रिशूल सुजाने॥
चंद्र शोभित तुम्हारे माथे।
भूत-प्रेत सब डर के साथे॥

Shwaan savaaree chadhat suhaane
Laal bhujaa trishool sujaane
Chandra shobhit tumhaare maathe
Bhoot-pret sab dar ke saathe
Meaning
Mounted on the dog you ride beautifully; red-armed, holding the trident. The moon shines on your forehead; ghosts and spirits flee in terror.

भक्त संकट से रहत निवारी।
तुम बिन कौन करै रखवारी॥
जो कोई भैरव चालीसा गावै।
संकट हर आनन्द जग पावै॥

Bhakt sankat se rahat nivaaree
Tum bin kaun karai rakhwaaree
Jo koi Bhairav chaaleesaa gaavai
Sankat har aanand jag paavai
Meaning
You always remove the distresses of devotees — without you, who would protect us? Whoever sings this Bhairav Chalisa — every distress flees, and the world's joy is theirs.
