Privacy policy
This document explains what data Astroly.in collects, why, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. Plain English first; the lawyerly parts are optional reading.
The short version
- We collect only what's needed to deliver a reading: name, email, phone, birth details, and questions you ask.
- Your birth chart data stays on your device (localStorage) when possible; saved kundalis are stored encrypted on our servers, tied to your account.
- We don't sell data. We don't share with advertisers.
- You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by writing to support@webest.dev.
What we collect
- Account: name, email, phone number, password (hashed).
- Birth details: date, time, city of birth — used to generate your kundali. You can delete these anytime.
- Asked questions: the questions you submit and the answers returned are stored so you can review them.
- Wallet & payments: payment references via Razorpay (we don't store card numbers).
- Technical: standard request logs, IP, device type — retained briefly for security and debugging.
How we use it
- To compute your birth chart and generate answers to your questions.
- To send transactional emails (OTPs, receipts, account recovery).
- To improve the product. We never use your personal questions for ML training without explicit consent.
Third parties
We use a small number of processors: Razorpay (payments), OpenAI (answer generation — your kundali + question text is sent over an encrypted channel and not retained by OpenAI beyond 30 days per their API policy), and standard email providers. That's the full list.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, a correction, or full deletion. Write to support@webest.dev from the email on your account. We respond within 7 working days.
Cookies & local storage
We use localStorage to remember your login token, preferred language, and theme. We use cookies only for login sessions and CSRF protection. No tracking cookies.
Children
Astroly.in is intended for readers 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to this policy
When we update this policy we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. Material changes will be emailed to your account address.
