How it works
Your Mulank comes from the day you were born, reduced to one digit. A number plate is reduced the same way: add every digit until one remains. The two are then compared using the standard ank jyotish planet-friendship groupings, which is what decides whether a plate is read as friendly, neutral or best avoided.

- Reduce your day of birth to a single digit to get the Mulank.

A worked example
Input: Born on the 14th; plate DL 8C AB 1234
- Mulank = 1 + 4 = 5
- Plate digits 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10 → 1 + 0 = 1
