How it works
Letters common to both names are cancelled in pairs. The count of surviving letters is used to step repeatedly around the six letters of FLAMES, removing one each time, until a single letter is left. Friends, Love, Affection, Marriage, Enemy, Sibling.

- Strike out letters the two names share, one occurrence against one occurrence.
- Count the letters left over across both names.
- Step that many places around the word FLAMES, removing a letter each time you land, until one remains.
